Niagara Falls – An Enchanting and Everlasting Wonder

Two different cities, two different countries, both
bordering on a geological wonder – Niagara Falls, composed
of three separate waterfalls: the Canadian Falls known as
the Horseshoe Falls which due to its shape of a horseshoe,
falls from three directions; the American Falls and the
Bridal Falls, side by side falling from one direction.

Niagara Falls is one of the most magnificent sights of
nature you can behold.  The massive width and height of the
Canadian Falls leaves the observer awestruck and
mesmerized, and its horseshoe formation takes it to yet
another level of awe.  As an observer, you are truly
treated to eye candy, which at night is further enhanced
with projected coloured lights for a spectacular light show.

While you gaze at the Horseshoe Falls in Ontario, you also
view the American Falls, which if located anywhere else
would also be considered very large, but instead are quite
dwarfed in comparison.  Alongside the American Falls are
the smaller but very beautiful Bridal Falls, quite aptly
named as it is similar in sight to the veil of a wedding
dress.  Canada has the ultimate view of the Falls.  United
States has virtually none albeit it is from the United
States that you can enter the caves located behind the
American Falls for a truly unique experience and
perspective.

All things considered, when visiting the Falls, it is quite
pointless to attempt to do so in Niagara Falls, New York,
U.S.A.  Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada is definitely the
place you want to visit to appreciate the view of all the
Falls.  The location of the Falls in Ontario is capitalized
upon with what can only be described as a circus
atmosphere.  The attractions on Clifton Hill, in the heart
of the tourist area, are something of an oddity, with
enough wax museums to last a life time, rows of haunted
houses and ample other museums of varying peculiarities.

On the surface it is so contrary to a natural wonder, yet
alike in that the Falls are also unreal, unusual and
unbelievable.  Accommodations in Niagara Falls, Ontario are
plentiful and dining facilities, bars and lounges are
mostly found within them. In my experience, opting for a
room with a view of the Horseshoe Falls and being close
enough to hear them is the ultimate experience.  Aside from
hotel accommodations, you will find plenty of B&B's and
campground facilities albeit they do not offer the views as
you can imagine.

Waterfall attractions are also plentiful, whether it is
watching the American Falls crash down overhead from the
inside of the caves, a scenic helicopter ride for a unique
vantage point, or riding the gigantic Ferris Wheel. There
are many to choose from.  The ultimate in my opinion, is
the cruise on the Maid of the Mist which takes you for a
boat tour alongside all of the waterfalls.  The ride is
nothing short of incredible and a must do.  The Falls churn
the water you are cruising in and create a mist that
surrounds you.  Rain coats are provided and you can remain
in an enclosed area on the boat, but the cruise caters to
standing on the deck and becoming drenched.

The Falls are enchanting, and a constant everlasting wonder
and for those reasons, also a popular honeymoon destination.
